If you have a small business or if you are a freelancer, sell stuff on eBay, this is a card you should seriously consider. It offers great rewards, great protection and a lot more.
– Phenomenal Welcome Bonus of 80,000 points
– 3X Points in Useful Categories
– Car Rental Coverage
– Cell Phone Protection
The Chase Ink Business Preferred Card offers a huge welcome bonus. 80,000 Ultimate Rewards Points after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months. I put that value at roughly $1360 which as far as I’m concerned the best welcome bonus on any credit card right now.
The annual fee is only $95 but it offers 3 times the points in several categories that are very useful. That includes travel, shipping purchases, internet, cable, phone services, advertising services made with social media sites and search engines.
These bonus categories apply on the first $150,000 you spend in those every cardmember year which would be coinciding with the anniversary of your card. That’s a great way to earn bonus points for your business spend.
Another great perk is that the card is part of the Ultimate Rewards EcoSystem. So if you are earning points with the Chase Sapphire Preferred or Reserve, Chase Freedom or Unlimited, these are points that you can easily pull with those and then transfer over to a partner.
For example the 80,000 points you get as part of your welcome bonus you can redeem that by transferring to World Hyatt which would be more than enough for 3 nights at the Park Hyatt in Paris or 6 nights at the Hyatt Regency in Kathmandu in Nepal.
It could be good for a one way business class ticket to Asia or Europe.
The Chase Ink Business Preferred also offers great protection. It has an amazing cell phone protection benefit and this is something that you don’t see on many cards. You get up to $600 per claim and there is a $100 deductible and you can have only 3 claims per year.
If you travel with any frequency, it offers great perks like Primary collision damage waiver coverage on car rentals. This applies both within the US and outside the US when renting cars for business purposes. It offers great travel protection in the event your flight is delayed, your bags get lost.
